It is important to note that, much like the d/Deaf Community, there is a variation in how each DeafBlind individual identifies within the community of DeafBlind people. There are some who take the clinical view and identify as disabled and there are those who take the cultural view of DeafBlind as a proud and richly unique culture. No judgment is passed nor is one view upheld over another on this site. The purpose of this site is to help spread knowledge and understanding so that we may become a better practitioner in our field.
